Gutted…

Someone offered and iMac G4 (the one with the dome base and TFT on an arm) on Freecycle but I wasn’t lucky enough to get picked out of the hat. Am gutted. That would have been ace to do a bit of programming on.
I hope it went to a good home. They said the super drive (dvd/cd drive?) was knackered but that wouldn’t have mattered a jot to me, and who needs em with networking and pen drives anyway these days?
Ah wells it was a nice dream there for a few minutes.
I wish this iMac G3 had hardware opengl graphics, it’s the only thing holding me back on the mac coding. Can compile on it but can’t test the results which is a bit of a bummer.
Freecycle is great and if you are not a member you should search for your local group on there, they are set up for pretty much every major/minor city in the world.

I have a shiny Macbook with Xcode 3 installed if you need someone to test stuff out.
Also… if you’re making Mac stuff, what are you making it in? I have absolutely no idea where to begin and the Apple idea of reading masses and masses of documents doesn’t sound fun.

Cheers. I’m coding in BlitzMax (www.blitzbasic.com) which has versions for Windows, Linux and OsX.
I have a iMac G3 here but it doesn’t support openGL in OsX which is a shame, so I can compile code on it but not test anything and see if it actually works.
I managed to get Mac versions working of a couple of my games but that’s probably fluky more than anything.
