Zoop-A-Mario Bros.

Posted by on 26 Apr 2010 | Tagged as: Programming, Remakes

Oops. I uploaded this last month but forgot to put a news post. It’s only had 10 downloads but interest in remakes and silly little games doesn’t seem to be as high as it once was? If I’m wrong about that be sure to put me straight.

You can get it here.

It’s a mash up between Zoop by Viacom and some Mario type stuff. In the original Zoop (which was supposed to be the next Tetris but never really took off) you can fire up and down also but I’ve simplified things by making it just left and right, but making the lanes a few lines wider.

I hope you enjoy it, at least for a few minutes.

Now there is a blast from my past, I actually worked on the original game for both nintendo and sega. ahh those were the days. The graphics were not my choice, we originally had 3D rolling cubes (sprite based of course) they were so deliciously smooth but good ol’ japanese market wouldnt have liked that so we had thr brightly coloured weird shapes instead
