As posted on Retro Remakes recently I have been robbed from my bank account. Thankfully it seems that my bank is on the case and they locked everything down so no more money can be taken, although that’s a joke because I don’t actually have any.
Please please if you have played any of my games […]

I’ve been playing around with the idea of doing something in a very retro style - ZX Spectrum palette and UDG type graphics, so I wrote a little function to recreate the BEEP command so that you can play sounds just like on a Speccy.
The example tune from the ZX Spectrum 48K manual works without […]

Someone offered and iMac G4 (the one with the dome base and TFT on an arm) on Freecycle but I wasn’t lucky enough to get picked out of the hat. Am gutted. That would have been ace to do a bit of programming on.
I hope it went to a good home. They said the super […]

Well the site has a spanking new coat of paint and feels a lot nicer to me.
Yummy. It is very caffeinated too with lots of coffee beans and cups of coffee all around the site. I feel very much at home here now, even more so than before.
I hope you like the new […]

Just a little note to make you aware that I have just released (finally) the Mac OSX version of Super Obliteration.
Many thanks to Guy, it wouldn’t be compiled for Os X without you.
After having a few Mac guys test it it seems to work so… Enjoy!

Unfortunately there was a serious bug in v1.00 which effected extra lives.
Thanks to STompy for finding the problem and reporting it - hopefully this problem is now fixed, and a new version has just been uploaded.
This is what I get for not having a private beta-test.

Fixed a score glitch and changed a few other things, and hopefully fixed the music for people who said it wasn’t playing - although no one has got back to me yet to let me know if it is actually fixed.
…. one hour passes ….
Buggering hell.
I left some debug code in that sends you […]

Go grab it from the downloads section and make sure you tell me if you run into any problems.
This is considered beta software as it has not really been tested by anyone other than myself.
It is to my knowledge a fully functional and working game - get it now and have a go - the […]

More video goodness from my current WIP of Super Obliteration. Now with added plasma style special effects care of the technical know how of Mr Smayds.
I’ve tried to keep the visibility good so the effects are somewhat more subtle than they could have been - I still think they add a nice extra layers to […]

I started work on this game last summer but then got sidetracked by various things including the RR2007 competition. Now that I’m back in my groove (at least a little) I’m on the case and this is being worked on again.
The game engine is just about complete - don’t worry about the video looking too […]
